Military Spouse Scholarship Opportunity

Spring 2006

The National Military Family Association (NMFA) is accepting applications for its Joanne Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarship Program, available to any uniformed service spouse - active, retired, Guard, Reserve or survivor - studying toward professional certification or attending post-secondary or graduate school. Scholarships (normally $1,000) may be used for tuition, fees, books, and room and board.

The NMFA also is preparing to open its doors to military children around the world through its Operation Purple summer camps. Campers from all service branches will enjoy a memorable week of traditional camp activities and learn skills to work through the challenges of separation from a parent due to a deployment. This free program has been embraced by parents and children as well as senior government officials and military leaders. To find out how to participate, visit MilitaryFamily.org.
