Young Money, Military Money Websites Deemed 'Webby Worthy'
ORLANDO, Fla., August 25, 2005 -- Earlier this summer, InCharge® Institute of America, a national non-profit organization specializing in personal finance education and credit counseling received "Webby Worthy" mentions for two of its interactive websites, www.youngmoney.com and www.militarymoney.com, online versions of the organization's popular magazines, Young Money® and Military Money™.
The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence in Web design, creativity, usability and functionality. Established in 1996 during the web's infancy, the Webbys are presented by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a 500-member body of leading web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities.
Young Money magazine was designed to help young adults effectively earn, manage, invest and spend money. The magazine's articles are written by college students for college students and focus specifically on money management, entrepreneurship, careers, investing, technology, travel, entertainment and automotive topics. The magazine's online content offers additional money-related matters including interactive games and resources.
Military Money addresses the dynamic lifestyle of the military family and serves as a financial resource for families with loved ones serving in America's armed forces. The magazine addresses money management, home and family life for military families, career advice, deployment and relocation and transitioning to the civilian world. The Military Money website complements the magazine with additional content, calculators, surveys and other interactive tools.
Of the more than 4,000 entries submitted to the 9th Annual Webby Awards, Young Money and Military Money were among the top 20 percent, which were all deemed "Webby Worthy.”
"This is an outstanding achievement for InCharge Institute and a sign of our team's outstanding work and dedication to our publications' online components," noted Rebecca Stiehl, President and CEO of the InCharge Education Foundation, which oversees publication of the two magazines.
