Spouse Ed Resource Launched
Spring 2007
Frequent moves pose numerous obstacles for military spouses who want to pursue higher education – varying state requirements, multiple application and processing fees, transferring credits to equivalent courses, not to mention lost dollars for credits that do not transfer.
With this in mind, the National Military Family Association recently launched a comprehensive online education resource designed specifically for military spouses. You can find helpful information about starting your education, choosing schools, transferring credits, obtaining financial aid and much more.
The NMFA also offers financial assistance through its Joanne Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarships, awarded to help spouses obtain professional certification or attend post-secondary or graduate school. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, and room and board. Visit www.nmfa.org.
