Under a new policy to eliminate paper copies of LES and W-2 statements, military members who log on to the myPay website are consenting to receive electronic copies of their documents. This eliminates the risks associated with hand-delivered mail.
Using myPay allows the individual user to control when important documents - containing such sensitive information as names, addresses and Social Security numbers – are viewed and printed. This is particularly important for W-2 and 1099 forms, where the SSN cannot be masked due to Internal Revenue Service regulations.
Users may obtain access to myPay by requesting a PIN at https://mypay.dfas.mil or calling 1-800-390-2348.
